After much consideration, I have decided to name my magazine
‘For Folk’s Sake’. Consequently, I believe this name is a playful and witty adaptation
of the original phrase (which probably doesn’t need to be explained). As I’d
prefer my audience to predominantly belong to a younger age category, the word
play corresponds with the liveliness retained by that particular age category.
Additionally, after exploring an extensive amount of potential fonts I could include in the general house-theme of my magazine, I have discovered that a simple format is the most effective visibly. They’re readable and unfussy, meaning they’re easy on the eye. On the contrary, I would like to include a wide variety of font types; however, I think this can be achieved by altering between bold, narrow and italic variations of each text. Here are some examples of my ideas shown below.
